The Maccabiah

The Maccabiah: An Alternative Visual History A collaborative research and design project by Ben-Gurion University, Bezalel Academy, the Maccabiah Sports Museum, and Jerusalem Design Week. Each participant reinterpreted one of the first twelve Maccabiah posters through contemporary design. My project focused on the Fourth Maccabiah, exploring Max Nordau's concept of "Muscular Judaism" through a grotesque, circus-inspired illustration based on historical research. An accompanying Instagram reel documents my creative process and the development of the final poster.
